DESCRIPTION:
Located in the prestigious area of Chungdam-dong in the Gangnam district of Seoul, Mond Jewelry Boutique is the first flagship store for this brand.  Originally a jewelry design company known for their avant garde designs often displayed in galleries, the company decided to expand their designs to the wedding jewelry division, more associated with classical designs.  This mix of avant garde and classical design is what defined the new Mond brand as well as the interior design concept.

This duality of the avant garde and the classical is evident in the interior details as well as the programming of the interior space.  Classical details are juxtaposed with modern details and the minimal palette of materials and colors used further enhance this concept.  In addition, the rectangular site was divided symetrically in half from the entrance to create a perfect square that would become the main showroom.
This square was divided again in half with one zone dedicated to the brand's avant garde jewelry and the other half dedicated to the classical wedding jewelry.  The portion left out of the square was dedicated to a designers studio as well as a private VIP room.
